Interactive Brokers = Great Commissions
I like Interactive Brokers, they have had the best commissions on futures trading for a long time.
Several years ago they worried me with their customer service, there is a point where saving money is not the best option for you. Things do go wrong and you need some contact with your broker.
But they have made some real big changes and I traded with them for 2 years and didn’t have any problems at all.
They have instant message for their customer service and sometimes it would take a while for someone to answer your question. But it never really caused a problem for me.
The only reason I don’t have an account with them now is because they only trade the electronic markets and I have been trading cotton and corn so I can’t trade there since both of those are traded in the pits.
I was day trading the S&P when I had an account with Interactive so I placed thousands of orders and like I said – never had a problem.
The only thing they do that I really don’t like is charge you a non active account fee for any month you don’t use your account. It is not much (a few bucks), but that always kind of bugs me and I knew I was not going to trade for a couple months so I closed my account.
So don’t open your account until your ready to start trading and you won’t have a problem.
Almost forgot, their site is here: interactivebrokers.com
