Futures Day Orders vs. Futures Open Orders
Thursday the market went down and hit my order then turned and went back up. I checked my futures account and no fill. I called my broker and he checked, the order I entered was a day order. There is a pull down menu that I have to change each order from a day order to an open order.
It looks like I forgot to do this and so my order was cancelled at the end of the day that I placed it, which was a month ago or so.
It the market goes back up now I am going to be really pissed about this, but if it goes back down next week and I get filled then it really does not matter that much, other than I have to be more careful in the future how I enter my orders.
