Scale Trader Newsletter

I have gone back through all the scale trader newsletters for the last 6 months, and have figured out all the open positions they currently have.

5 March 08 Cotton

3 October 07 Sugar #11

4 November 07 Lumber

And the mini soybean scale that starts at 870 and buys every 5 cents down, selling every 12 cents up.

My plan is to go ahead and buy all these contracts now, then put in the sell orders and scale out of them as if I had bought them on the way down.

Then when I am finished with these scales, I am going to follow all the recommendations and see how close I can come to the return that he shows for his newsletter.

My guess is that I will get almost all of the trades, and it will only be off by the interest, plus a handful of trades per year.

I put in an order for a market buy on Friday for lumber and got filled at 264.70 then I entered a limit order for 264.00 and it got filled before the close, so I now have 2 lumber contracts.

Or I should say that is how the price is quoted,

I mostly just wanted to make sure that I had the order entry right, I have to enter lumber as 2640 for a limit order, and it moves by 1 tick at a time, so I could enter an order for 2641

Also from my statement I figured out that each 1 point in lumber is worth $11.00
