Very Bad Day Trading Emini Need New Rules

Another very bad day, I over traded today, was trying something new again. Very disseminated that my hook trades have not been working very well the last few trading sessions.

So I decided to blow $500 for what reason I am not really sure, but was looking at the afternoon volume trades, watched 4 of them work perfectly and then I decided to trade one, of course it went against me, then added to the position and carried it right to the exact bottom where I got out.

It's hard not to take it personal when it gets you out to the tick, then turns and runs in your direction.
That is going to happen, but when it just happens all the time, it's really devastating. I should have put a cap on my trades earlier, and stopped trading with a smaller loss.

Since I have no way to even make back $100 most of my winning days are $20 to $60.
I need to clear my head, and start over again and change my rules to try and eliminate days like today.

The trailing stop seems to work well some of the time, then other times when I have a good support or resistance level, the market moves away and pulls my stop to the other side of the level then reverses and hit it, so that does not work to well.

I did have one moment when a hook formed but there were 2000 contracts at the bid and it looked like only 1 contract traded at that price but it made a perfect hook. I decided to wait until a few more of the contracts were hit before I got in, the market started going the other way, so I got in the opposite direction and made some money.

That was the first time that I feel like I had any clue what the market was doing and traded it, and was right.

Hopefully I will come across some more of these trades.

Very depressing looking at how much I lost today.
